Some songs are very catchy. And sometimes they get stuck in your head and they just won't go away!
When I was a child - we used to sing this song in Sunday School "I've got the Joy Joy Joy Joy - Down in my heart (Where?) Down in my heart! (Where?) Down in my heart.!.... and on it would go. Do you know it? Maybe it's now stuck in your head (if so - you are welcome!)
We were created to be joyful. Do you believe it?
Sometimes it is hard to be joyful - because we equate joy with happiness and happiness seems to depend on our situation.
That's not the way the Apostle Paul saw it. For him, joy is not connected to what happened today - it's not connected to what we have - rather it's all about the place of God in our lives - and knowing that no matter what - we are not alone because Jesus is alive and with us.
The African Children's Choir exudes joy as they sing. Sure, they seem happy - but it is more than that. This kids have all been though a lot. Take a look!
Oh yeah - and then grab you bible and check out what Paul is talking about.
