So! It's TIME for another Bible Study Challenge! Do you have what it takes to join us? Take part in the on-line journal portion of our new Bible Study on Philippians, and you'll be invited to go wild at Wild Play! Come on!
SO What? A Study of Philippians!
The Letter to the Philippians is a short book in the New Testament with a powerful punch! So much has changed in 2000 years - and yet - so much remains the same! How are we like this early church - and how are we different? Do the words of Paul have any relevance for us in 2016?
These last two weeks, we've been looking in the Book of Acts and seeing how the church at Philippi came to be. It's quite amazing - and you can find out for yourself in Acts 16: 11-40. This wasn't the establishment coming together - or a few family groups with members of all ages. These people likely didn't even know each other!

Who were these people in Philippi anyway?
They were a diverse mix of people including a business woman, a spirit possessed slave girl and a jailer - all who became believers in Jesus through Paul's ministry.
The first members of the church don't seem like they would be too likley to have coffee together - let alone form a church - but that's what happened! And it wasn't easy! This young church experienced opposition - and then - their leaders were beaten and thrown in jail. Not your typical formula for growing a group! But God used it all to build a church that was united in fellowship and in serving Christ.
